Seems like everytime you trun on the tv you hear about the environment.  Natural cleaners, sustainable materials, earth friendly products I am sure many of you are confused by what to do to make a difference.

You stand in the aisle at the store reading labels and wondering what is toxic and what is not.  There are some basics to follow when wanting to make a difference.

I recommend that first you get educated on the green movement, with the internet at our disposal it is easy to become self educated on any subject.  It shouldn’t be confusing and there are many of us here that care enough about the environment to make it easier for anyone to make a difference.

Though I promote Shaklee very strongly there are some other companies that care about the health of their consumers and the environment.  Just be diligent when choosing your products as they do not always tell you everything.  Call the company, ask questions and if they do not want to answer you or seem to be vague then that is a company you should not consider.

There are many companies making green claims that simply are not true and when I have personally called them with the right questions I was given an honest answer.

My choice is Shaklee but yours may be something different and as long as you are aware of the problems and doing something that will make a difference I feel that I have done my part in making a difference by keeping you informed.

Many of the big corporations in America are taking baby steps to improve the environment and a small step is to me a step in the right direction.

Do I believe they can do more?  Absolutely.  They can reduce or eliminate their footprint on the planet by taking the right steps to become Climate Neutral.  They can make sure their products are truly safe and not making false claims just to make money from such a great cause.

Here are some basics you should know when making the transition from toxic chemicals to green cleaning products in your home.

  1. Just because it is a company that has been around for years, do not trust their claims to be true.  Investigate it and know that you are getting what you are looking for.
  2. Ask if they are using any chemicals in their product that can be dangerous for you and the environment.
  3. If you are not getting the answers you seek, then look elsewhere.
  4. Consider the alternative of shopping online from companies that have been making green products for years.

I love doing my shopping online, I am not running from store to store, wasting gas and wreaking more havoc on the planet.  By placing one order I am able to purchase my green cleaning products, shampoos, conditioners, skin care, childrens products, nutritional products, air and water purifiers, laundry products, dishwashing, hand washing, everything besides food for my home with one order.  I am ordering from a company that has offset their greenhouse gasses and was the first company in the world to be certified climate neutral.

If you choose to buy the products I promote or someone elses that is great that you are taking the steps to make a difference, just be diligent and be sure they are what they claim to be.

When Roger Barnett bought Shaklee he found products that were not all natural and he has been making sure that each of them are.  There have been times when a product would not be available to us until he was certain that it was what it claimed to be.  When Dr. Shaklee died and the company went to a Japanese pharmeceutical there were some things that changed and Roger has made sure they are back to nature as Dr Shaklee worked his whole life to achieve.  Mr. Barnett has been forhtright with us and I know Shaklee is a name I can trust.

Remember the fundamentals and just because a product says eco friendly, there are no regulations as of yet for companies making these claims, there will be in the near future hopefully.

Like with anything else it takes due diligence and with some leading questions you can get the informatio you seek.

When choosing a company to affiliate myself with I spent months researching the many different options available to me.

I am always available to take your questions about natural produts and Shaklee if you wish to contact me.  Remember I give away 1 product a week, just fill out the contact us form to get in the drawing.  I will be adding a page soon with all winners and what they have to say once they have had time to  receive and use the product.
